2013-07-03 | Armenia’s Kotayk Region to have modern greenhouse farm
Alternative Energy Company plans to establish a five-hectare greenhouse farm in Kotayk Region of Armenia.
The total volume of investments is estimated at more than 2 billion drams (approx. $4,799,580), and all necessary equipment will be imported from Holland.
The company petitioned to the Government, with a request for a three-year postponement in the payment of the value added tax (VAT) for the equipment to be imported.
The State Revenue Committee, however, drew attention to the fact that the aforesaid company was established recently, it does not have a tax history, and there are no documents whereby it will be possible to receive information on the activities of this corporation.
But the Ministry of Economy defended Alternative Energy Company and noted that a tax history is not required to grant privileges.
