In 2012, a total of 2,896 kilograms of gold and 22.2 tons of silver was mined in Armenia, informs the National Statistical Service.
As compared to 2011, the extraction of gold in Armenia increased by 5.8 percent, whereas that of silver dropped by about 12 percent.
In addition, 10,700 tons of zinc, 6,500 tons of molybdenum, and 52,500 tons of copper were mined in Armenia in the year past.
